Wow!

Wow!

Ok, so it's been 3 years since I posted anything.

I'm still around, just not online much.

Here is a small painting I did of a small terracotta rabbit made to hold plant pots. I just think he's adorable.

Hopefully, more paintings to come :)

Don't give up on me!

I have made a huge change in my life - we sold our house and studio, and moved into a beautiful 19' travel trailer.

We will be traveling the country and visiting every state (except Hawaii). If you'd like me to visit, have a 24' long driveway, let me know and I'll paint a painting for you in exchange for parking LOL

Although the trailer is beautiful, it had some problems, so most of this year has been trying to get all the problems remedied and in between visiting relatives.

I'm also a blog about our travels - but nothing to see there yet LOL

Now I'm getting off the computer and doing something constructive!

Wow - time flies!

Hi!

I've been thinking of you! ha! but not doing much about actually getting anything up on the blog, apparently.

So, I'll just share a painting that I did awhile ago. Hopefully, I'll get some of the more recent paintings up sometime.

I have been busy traveling in my tiny camper with my husband and two dogs - from the east coast to the west coast, but not much up the middle :)  (if you're interested, I have blog about the camper here - Wacky Pup )

PUPPIES!

My adorable little Maltese, Emily, has been very busy! On October 25, she presented us with 3 BEAUTIFUL Maltese puppies! Did I mention they were beautiful!? They are going to be ready for their forever homes on December 20, just in time for CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!

Being a first time mother, she had no clue what was going on when they were born.  I could see the thoughts going through her little head - "What in the world is happening to me? I feel rather odd. I have been putting on a lot of weight lately. I don't feel so good. Whoa, what is going on here, what is this thing coming out of me?? OH MY GOD IT'S ALIVE!" Then instinct kicked in and she became the world's greatest Mom. The second and third puppies were like "Oh yeah, I've got this covered, I know what's happening now"

So without further ado - may I present Emily and the three cutest puppies in the world!

More updates to come!

Hey!! Where Did The Painting Go??

I'm reposting this, in case you got no paintings when you opened your email! My son just gave me a wonderful new google-based tablet. I was going through all the photos that have synced to it, and I thought, hmmm I don't need my daily paintings on my tablet, I'll just delete them. BAD thought! LOL It synced back to the web and deleted them EVERYWHERE, including my blog! How bizarre! I thought once it was up here, it was separate from my tablet. I'm not sure I like this, but I guess I have to keep all my photos everywhere, or they disappear from the blog.

So, anyway, here is the painting I was talking about in the last email -

Hey!!!!??? where did the year go????

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe a whole year has passed since I posted. I've been trying to be more active in the 'real' world, and spend fewer days glued to my computer. Not sure I've been successful, but I sure haven't posted.

I have been painting, and I have some paintings to show you, but today I thought I'd share my 'palette cleaning' paintings.  When I am done with a painting, my palette still has paint on it. Since I hate waste, I've been painting small paintings with the leftover paint. This presents quite a challenge, since I've usually used up my 'favorite' pigments and there is a large area of my palette that is covered with a smorgasbord of paint that really doesn't make sense. For some reason, it seems that I always have a lot of blue left :) So here is the first of my palette paintings -

I have discovered kayaking! I have a very hard time relaxing and having my mind clear. My husband and I bought a really cheap "toy-like" kayak a year or so ago, which I love. We putter along the shore of small lakes/ponds and watch the birds, fish & the occasional beaver or otter. This year, I found a couple Hobie Mirage kayaks on craigslist. Wow - what a change! The lakes that took us all day to paddle around, now are covered in the matter of an hour! I'm fortunate to live in a state that is really developing kayaking trails. There is even a trail that runs through Waco. That is one of my goals, to get to Waco and paddle downtown.  Tomorrow we are planning to kayak into Lake Pat Cleburne, which is about 45 minutes from our house.

Hope your year has been great!
